 WHAT IS THE FACADE BONUS 2020

 The "FACADE BONUS" is a proposal born with the aim of encouraging the restoration and consequently the embellishment of the buildings of our cities through a tax discount up to 90% of the costs incurred without spending limits.

It can be used by all those who carry out restoration and recovery work on the facade of existing buildings, whatever their intended use (commercial, residential, garage…), provided they are in the historic center or in neighboring areas.

WHO IS IT FOR

 The bonus is due to all those who carry out restoration or recovery works on the facade, they can be owners, tenants, natural persons or businesses both resident and non-resident in Italy.

The building must be located in zones A and B (indicated in the ministerial decree n.1444/1968) or in similar zones indicated within regional regulations or plans of the municipality to which it belongs (since zoning is not always carried out by nominating the areas with the above letters).

WHAT'S IT ABOUT

 The bonus is applied in the form of a tax break, which consists of a deduction

of the gross tax (Irpef or Ires) to the extent of 90% of the costs incurred for the recovery or restoration of the facade during the year 2020.

The deduction does not provide for a maximum expense, nor a deduction ceiling, it is divided into 10 constant annual installments and of equal amount both for the current year and for those to follow.

FOR WHICH INTERVENTIONS                                                                                                 

 The bonus extends to all works concerning the recovery and restoration of the facade external visible of a building, therefore it will be applicable both for simpler jobs such as just painting or cleaning the facade, and for more conspicuous interventions such as the restoration and improvement of the thermal characteristics of the external envelope of the building.
